"Seriously, Peter you can't keep being late to class if you want to graduate and go to Empire State University with me next fall," Gwen said with a bit of frustration as she spoke with her boyfriend. As seniors, the young couple were allowed to leave campus for lunch, and the two were grabbing burgers at a dinner near their school.
"Yeah I know. It's just . . . sometimes things come up." Everyone's favorite wall crawler, Peter Parker, had been bitten by a radioactive spider about six months previously and was still adjusting with balancing his life as a high school student with his responsibilities as Spider-Man. He had made up his mind to tell his girlfriend about his super powers, but he had not found the right moment.
"Have you thought about setting your alarm clock earlier? Or setting your clothes out the night before? Little things like that can really help." Gwen said. "Gee, setting an alarm clock. I never thought of that." Peter said, slightly irritated. He had been on time for school but was delayed preventing the Rhino from robbing an armored car. "No reason to get made. I'm just trying to help." Gwen retorted. "I know. Sometimes you can just get on my like some sort of helicopter parent or something."
Suddenly, there was a bright flash of light. "What was that?" Gwen said. "I don't know. It couldn't have been lightning. There are no clouds." Peter's spider sense wasn't going off, but he was feeling weird. "I guess we should head back to class."
As the two walked back to class, Gwen started feeling weird as well. Her pants weirdly felt tight around her waste and did her bra feel too small? Little did she know, she was rapidly aging thirty years. Her body plumped up as she gained a belly and her hips widened, giving her a nice apple frame. Crows' feet formed around her eyes while her hair shortened to a short feathery bob. Her once cute, dainty feet coarsened and gained cankles. After her physical transformation finished, her clothes morphed to a conservative blouse and mom jeans.
As she walked along the sidewalk with Peter, she noticed a twinge of pain in her right knee. Had she strained it during PE? Gwen suddenly caught a glimpse of her reflection in a store window and screamed "oh my god!" She glanced in panic at her boyfriend. Instead, she found a seventeen-year-old brunette girl standing next to her.
"Like seriously, mom I'm seventeen years old. Why are you following me to school?" The seventeen-year-old whined. Gwen was now seriously freaking out. How had she aged into a frumpy middle aged woman and why had Peter turned into a girl? Before she could panic anymore, something clicked in her head and she looked over at the girl next to her.
"Honestly Penny, I know you think of yourself as an adult. But that is no way to speak to your mother!"
(This sort of popped into my head, and I needed to write it down. I don't have really any other ideas. So free to suggest something or add your own continuation!)

Penny Stacy rolls her eyes.
It's been six months since that radioactive spider gave her superpowers, it's been six months since she started fighting crime as Spider-Girl. All in all, Penny has matured a lot those days. Working with Shield on The Young Avengers, balancing school life with spandex. It's not easy, but, for the most part, Penny has done her best.
... Doesn't help when you have a helicopter parent.
"For the last time, mom, my first period is independent study!" Penny childishly pouts, stomping her feet lightly with bawled up fists.
That was a good point, mild tantrum aside, but, that being said, Gwen simply couldn't accept it.
Arms crossed, a scowl highlighting the wrinkles on her forehead, a fight was simply inevitable.
"Penelope Bernadette Stacy, that is no way to speak to your mother!" Gwen emphasizes her point in a more stern tone. "And I don't care if first period is independent study! If you're not in that school by 8, you're late, end of discussion!"
Penny groans.
"Don't give me that sass, young lady!" Gwen wags a finger, her bingo wing jiggling in the process. "You're number one priority is school. God forbid you don't get into ESU!"
Once again, Penny rolls her eyes. She actually hoped to go out of state. Far, Far away from her overbearing mother.
"Moooom!" Penny moans. "You're so laaaame! I'm not doing anything bad!"
"I'll be the judge of that!" Gwen assures. "Now, get their keister in school this instant, young lady, I need to have a chat with your teachers!"
As Penny storms off in a fit, tired from a long morning with her team, Gwen can't help but feel strange.
Why does this feel so... natural? This isn't suppose to be right, right? Yet, somehow, seeing Penny as anything other than her daughter sounds utterly ridiculous!
"It's hard being a single mom." Gwen mutters to herself. "But I'll be damned if she ends up working the pole like a floozy!"

Gwen made her way into the administration office and walked up to the secretary's desk. She needed to speak with the principal about Penny's education, and she couldn't shake the feeling that voicing her concerns to the person in charge WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN THE WORLD.
"I need to speak with Principal Octavius. It's important." Gwen said in what could only be described as a karenish tone.
"Of course, Ms. Stacy. He is expecting you. Please go on ahead." The secretary's tone conveying complete exasperation. Gwen's visits to the school were so frequent that Principal Octavius had taken to blocking out portions of his schedule in anticipation.
Gwen walked into Principal Otto Octavius's office. Dr. Octavius, a slightly over weight man in his early fifties, rose to shake her hand. "Ah, Ms. Stacy what a pleasant surprise. Please have a seat. And what brings my favorite parent here today?" In truth, Otto could barely stand Gwen, but he had found that flattery went along way with dealing with the particular concerned mother.
Gwen couldn't help but let a small smile break across her face at Principal Octavius comment. Men seldom expressed any interest in her these days. She sat down, her ample posterior uncomfortably constrained by the chair's frame.
"I'm worried about Penny's AP Literature class. As you know, ESU is very selective and looks at how many advanced classes a student takes. I'm concerned that this new literature teacher just isn't up to the job? Have you seen some of the books that she is assigning? I was looking at the reading list last night and the subject matter of some of the books looks a bit risque."
"Now, Ms. Stacy I assure that all our teachers here are thoroughly vetted and are excellent educators. But because I anticipated that you as . . . uh one of our more involved parents might have some concerns I arranged for you to meet with Penny's literature teacher. Ms. Hardy is free to meet with you right now if you have the time."
"That would be fine." Gwen stood up from her chair with a bit of a grunt, her breasts and stomach wobbling slightly as she did so. Gwen made to leave the office but then turn back suddenly. "Principal Octavius, I know you've said before that you have a policy against dating your student's parents. But if you ever change your mind I would love to have you over and make dinner sometime."
"That's awfully kind of you Ms. Stacy, but I'm afraid I must decline."
Trying to hide her disappointment, Gwen left to go see Ms. Hardy.

Her white hair in a tight bun, dressed conservatively in a black pantsuit, her hips wide, her blubbery butt drooping low, with a muffin top complimented by a impressive, yet low riding, set of double ds, Ms Hardy was trying to enjoy a free period with a bottle of sunny d, a box of doughnuts, and cat videos on her recently acquired laptop.
Of course, she can't have a peacefully quiet morning, not with parents like Gwen Stacy around.
"Are you Ms Hardy?!" Gwen wanders in, the door forced opened by her big, flabby arm.
"... Yes." Felicia answer slowly. She hasn't formally met Gwen... but all the teachers know about her. Her presence at PTA Meetings are legendary!
"I wanted to talk about your AP Literature Class."
"Okay, I have some time to chat." Felicia fakes a smile. She just moved in with her girlfriend, a mother of three toddlers, in a new apartment. The bags under her eyes should be a dead give away she's beyond tired!
"My Penny is in 6 AP classes. US History, Art, Spanish, Calculus, Chemistry, and Literature."
Felicia's eyes lit up. That is a lot for a Junior. An awful lot!
"I'll be paying good money for her final exams. These classes, after all, count as college credit."
"I'm well aware of that."
"Then can you explain to me why your recent choices in reading are just horrid?!" Gwen crosses her arms.
"What's wrong with Boysenberry Bill?" Felicia raises a puzzled brow.
"It's pedestrian. My Penny needs to be exposed to more thought provoking literature."
"With all do respect, Ms Stacy, Clark Wayne couldn't be more thought provoking. He was an amazing author with a progressive way of thinking decades ahead of his time."
"There's a character in that book named Chinaman Steve."
"Yes, I'm well aware of that, but--"
"I want my Penny to read something better." Gwen demands. "End of discussion!"
Felicia sighs.
"Well, next week, we are reading Shame and Fidelity."
"Good." Gwen smirks. "Something I'd actually read!"
Gwen goes on a tirade of what qualifies as good literature. Before Felicia knew it, it was second period.
"Well, I have class now." Ms Hardy frowns after the bell rang. "Thanks for stopping by."
As Gwen leaves, Felicia can't help feeling sorry for Penny. Helicopter Moms are the worst.

After making her thoughts known about her daughter's curriculum, Gwen got into her minivan and headed to work. For more than twenty years, Gwen had worked at Oscorp industries. Starting as a lower level researcher in a lab, she had worked her way up to middle management. She remembered first starting out and how excited she had been about all the possibilities that he work could bring. Now, she spent most of her time on phone call with the military and other large clients negotiating deals. Unfortunately, all that sitting had taken a toll on her waistline.
Gwen walked into her office and was greeted by her personal assistant Betty Brandt. Betsy was in her mid-20s and had been working for Gwen for a couple of months.
"Hello, Ms. Stacy, it is good to see you back. I've left four messages on your desk." Betsy said with a smile.
"Thank you Betsy. I'll call you if I need you." Gwen said cooly. She liked Betsy well enough as she was an efficient personal assistant who typically anticipated her needs. But Betsy youthful body and sunny disposition also provoked pangs of jealousy in her. She remembered when she had been young and thin with supple legs and a cute firm butt. Was that really several decades ago? Sometimes it felt like she had been in high school yesterday. Of course, as she looked at herself in her office mirror, she knew that couldn't be true. Not with the deep frown lines etched across her face and her middle aged body clothed in a frumpy green pantsuit.
"Ms. Stacy?" Betsy's voice broke Gwen from her train of thought.
"What is it Betsy, dear?"
"Mr. Osborn just called. He would like to meet with you."

Osborn was quite the catch. A handsome, mature man with a Jon Hamm charm. Dressed in an expensive suit, his musk of old spice, Gwen can't deny she was interested.
... That being said, Osborn can get supermodels. Sexy, young supermodels. Gwen is far from a supermodel!
"I'm going to be blunt about this, Doctor Curt Connors is the Lizard Man."
Gwen's eyes widen in shock. That monster has been all over the news this month. Pictures and recordings of him fighting Spider-Girl are all online.
"Off the record, Oscorp is responsible."
"... and you're telling me this because..."
"I'd like you to take over where Connors... let's say failed?"
Gwen drops her jaw. This was huge! Being in charge of a project that massive?! Wow!
... But the exposition... this job clearly has a price.
"Off the record, you could argue it was success. Spider-Girl is proof of that."
"... We created Spider-Girl?"
"Somehow." Osborn shrugs his shoulders. "We need a blood sample, but once we get it, well, let's just say your future will be as bright as the stars." Osborn winks.
Gwen, sexually starving, finds her heart pounding in her chest. She'd doing anything for this man, even if sex was inarguably off the table!
"I'll do whatever it takes!" Gwen assures. "I'll catch Spider-Girl in no time!"
Osborn smiles.
"That's exactly what I wanted to hear. I knew you were the right gal for the job. You have six months."
"Six?"
Osborn nods.
"Is that a problem?"
Gwen shakes her head.
"Good."
As Gwen leaves, she can't help feeling self conscious. Why didn't she put on more makeup today?! Why did she eat two bagels for breakfast?!

Gwen got back to her office, excited to get going on the project and win Norman's approval.
"Betsy, I need you to get me everything you can find on Spider-Girl. I also need all of Oscorp's research involving cross species genetics, especially information involving Curt Conner's research in that area."
"Right away, Ms. Stacy."
Gwen smiled. She would capture Spider-Girl well within her six month deadline. In the meantime, she would use this project as an excuse to see more of Norman. Gwen who hadn't had sex in ages was becoming wet at even the thought.
"One more thing Betsy, please set up a meeting with Mr. Osborn for next week. Something in the evening. Ideally at a restaurant."
Betsy Brandt was far too much of a professional to display her reaction to this request. But a perspective fly on the wall would have notice a small smirk spread across her face. "Absolutely, Ms. Stacy. I'll get something set up."
"Thank you very much Betsy. Now I have to go and pick Penny up from soccer practice. Did I tell you that she made the varsity team this year. I'm so proud of her."

Penny Stacy, dressed in her red soccer uniform, sits on a bleacher, midsection, sweaty, tired and annoyed.
"You okay, Pen?" Doreen Green, a spunky, baby faced redhead with adorable buckteeth, known by her superhero moniker, Squirrel Girl, asks her teammate on the soccer field and fighting crime if everything was okay.
"You were really out of it today." America Chavez, a feisty young latina, sits to Penny's left.
"Everything okay?" Kamala Khan, a Pakistani American Beauty, aka Ms Marvel, asks as she sits to Penny's right.
"My Mom is mental." Penny huffs. "How can I balance school life with Spider-Girl if all my courses are AP?! And don't get me started on after school activities! Soccer and Debate Club?! I'm losing it girls, losing it!"
"Yeah, your mom is a little much." Kamala sympathizes. "You're a shoe in for ESU as it is!"
"She really needs to ease up. I mean, she still won't let me over." America brings up.
"... I told you how she feels about leather jackets." Penny rolls her eyes.
"What is this? 1954?!"
Doreen giggles, Penny smiles. At least her teammates are good friends to lean on.
"You ladies warmed up?!" A manly voice shouts from the field.
Penny moans, recognizing it as none other than Nick Fury.
Dressed incognito as a gym teacher, it didn't really help that African American in his mid fifties had an eye patch.
"I need to do something fun." Penny pouts. "Something really fun or I'm gonna go nuts!"
"Speaking of nuts." Doreen smirks. "Wanna feed some squirrels later?"
Penny squints her eyes at her friend.
"God, you're cute." Penny shakes her head.

"Good practice ladies. I think we can call it for today. I'm feeling good about our game next week. If anything else comes up before our next practice that my require some of your attention, I'll be in touch." Nick Fury growled over the sound of girls chatting and laughing. "How did I end up with this assignment?" he thought.
At exactly six o'clock, Gwen arrived at the soccer field to pick up her daughter, honking her horn. "Penny, it's time to go! You need to get home and start on your homework!"
Penny rolled her eyes. "Coming mom." She sighed. "I'll text you girls later."
Penny climbed into her mom's minivan and could already tell that something was on her mom's mind.
"I didn't know that Chavez girl was on the varsity team. I don't like you hanging out with her. She's a bad influence."
"Mom, she's my friend and she is a really good soccer player. What's your problem with her." Penny cried indignantly.
"I told you. She dresses like a miscreant. But I don't want to argue about this with you know. Mommy had a very good day at work. Unfortunately, it means that I'm going to being working late for the next few weeks. So we are going to have less mommy-daughter time for a while."
Penny had to bite her tongue from saying something sarcastic. The thought of spending less time with her mother was an incredible relief. She suddenly had a thought and texted her soccer team's group text. "My mom's out of the house Friday night. Party at my place."
"So Penny how was your day?" And just like that Gwen began her daily prying into Penny's life.

This morning, Penny and the Young Avengers fought Modok downtown.
After a plasma blast to the chest, Penny had three exams, two essays, and a presentation on 20th Century Abstract Art. This followed by debate practice and soccer.
"It was normal." Penny says honestly, avoiding any detail whatsoever.
Gwen frowns. Normal? That's it? Teenagers!
"Well, that's good to hear." Gwen tsks. "So... I was wondering... how's Harry?"
Penny moans.
"What, you can't talk to your mom about boys?!"
"Yes, I can't." Penny's eyes bulge.
The car is silent for a good minute.
As Gwen puts on her left blinker, many feet away for it to be necessary, she laughs lightly, her belly jiggling.
The car continues to stay silent for another two minutes, until...
"He's a very handsome young man." Gwen blurts out.
"Mom!"
"I'm just saying!" Gwen buckles down. "He looks just like his father, he's just as brilliant, he's a real catch, honey!"
Maybe to some people. Sure. But here's the thing... Penny is as gay as Deadpool riding a unicorn over a rainbow. Just super duper crazy gay!
... But she'll never admit that. Especially considering the girl she likes, the girl she's causally dating, is the girl Gwen absolutely despises!
America Chavez!
"For the billionth time, I don't want to date Harry! Okay?! Drop it!"
The car is once again silent for a good three minutes.
As Gwen parks her car into the driveway, the silence ends with...
"But think about the financial stability and--"
"Thanks for the ride, Mom!" Penny shouts loudly, her seatbelt unbuckled, the passenger seat door opened quickly, her body jolting to the pavement. She poops down, planted face first, her bubble butt up high in the air.
Gwen sighs. That girl is just way too emotional for her own good! Honestly, where does she get that?!

The rest of the week proceeded pretty uneventfully. Gwen completely threw herself into the search for Spider-Girl. She successfully hacked Osborn Industry computers into camera systems all across the city, allowing her to monitor all of New York. She had already captured video of Spider-Girl fighting several bank robbers and had watched hours of Spider-Girl's lithe body jumping around, fighting villains. She couldn't put her finger on it, but there was something about Spider-Girl that seemed vaguely familiar. With all this surveillance, Gwen knew it would be only a matter of time until she caught Spider-Girl without her mask or could trace her back to her home.
Meanwhile, Penny continued fighting crime while balancing school work and soccer practice--completely unaware that her mother was trying to uncover her secret identity.
The day finally came for Gwen's status updated meeting with Norman Osborn. Knowing that her mom would be out late, Penny had invited America, Kamala, Doreen and some of her other friends over to party.
Gwen had breathlessly anticipated her meeting with Norman. Betsy had scheduled it at a nice five star restaurant. Gwen had found a green dress offset with some purple that accentuated her large, droopy bosom. It also showed off her dump truck ass. She had pulled her hair back to what she hoped was a sophisticated looking bun. The overall effect looked like a soccer mom desperately trying to hold on to her sexuality.
"Damn Mom, I thought this was a business meeting." Penny joked as she saw her mother getting ready to leave the house.
"Language Penny. And like I said this is just a business meeting. But Mr. Osborne is a very sophisticated man, and one should look their best for important meeting like this. Now remember, I'll be back late. Get your homework done, then you can order pizza as a treat. I left money on the counter."
"Okay, mom. Good luck with your business meeting." Penny said still smirking.

"As you can see, we've determined that Spider-Girl is most likely a student at Midtown High." Gwen says proudly as Norman looks up at the captured images projected onto the table.
Dozens of pictures showing the red and blue spandex of Spider-Girl, leaping upwards around various areas of the high school.
This gave Gwen a lot of pride. Sure, she looked frumpy in that dress, her belly stuck out a lot farther then she was happy with, her butt wiggled and often wedged upwards in the tight fitting fabric, the cellulite around her thighs were somewhat visible, but her brains, that was going to be her saving grace for certain!
"67% of the time, Spider-Girl appears from that specific location. The highest percent of any location Spider-Girl has been first seen from." Gwen goes on. "With that in mind, we are currently surveying all high school girls attending Midtown High, and, through analysis of Spider-Girl's height and size, have cut down the possible suspects to a manageable 110 students.".
Norman smiles.
"Good job, Gwen. You've definitely found something here." Norman praises, Gwen blushes. She knew she wouldn't get a compliment on her appearance, but her cleverness was another story!
"I'm impressed, you've solved a lot of the puzzle in 3 days."
"Thank you, sir."
Norman nods.
"Now, 110?" Norman raises a brow.
Gwen nods, pressing on a button in her hand, projecting school photos of 110 high school girls from freshman to senior year.
"Our next goal is vocal recognition."
"Vocal recognition?"
"Yes, Sir." Gwen nods. "We have Spider-Girl's voice recorded. Our goal now is to survey the 110 girl's voices to find a match."
"Brilliant!" Norman claps. "I knew you were the right gal for this job! Good work, Gwen! Good Work!"
The pride bubbling inside, Gwen couldn't help but picture being held in Norman's big, manly arms.
Of course... that was never going to happen! Not with a old Hag like her!
"Let me know immediately when you get that match." Norman grins. He snaps his fingers, out of the shadows, the scorpion appears to his left and the vulture appears to his right. "The boys will take care of the rest." Osborn winks.
*** "You gotta remember, my parents were gay." America, with Penny in her lap, points out as the house party goes into full swing.
🎶Ya don't have to suck my dick🎶 🎶You've been around to many pricks🎶 🎶I ain't like that and all that shit🎶 🎶Let's just talk, let's just sit🎶
Penny pouts, her slender arms wrapped her girlfriend.
🎶We can just be platonic🎶
"Everyone has a different experience... yours is probably going to suck." America lets out an awkward chuckle, followed by a smile.
🎶We can just be friends🎶
"But at least you have me, right?" America assures as Penny leans in, their noses lining up for a sweet and passionate Eskimo kiss.
🎶We can just be platonic🎶
Penny looks into America's light brown eyes.
🎶We can just be friends, friends, friends!🎶 🎶We can just be friends, friends, friends!🎶 🎶We can just be friends, friends, friends!🎶
Slowly, she goes for a kiss, America's soft, kissable lips a twinge of joy, an electricity of pure delight.
🎶How about that?🎶

Gwen was on cloud 9 as she drove back from her meeting with Norman Osborn. She could still feel his hand on her lower back as he escorted her out of the restaurant. Gwen could feel that if she delivered Spider-Girl then Norman would fall for her.
As Gwen neared her address, she could her hear loud music emanating from her home. "What in the world is going on? I can't believe it. IS PENNY THROWING A PARTY!?!?!?!?"
Gwen huffed herself out of her minivan and marched up to her front door.
"Party's over! Everyone needs to clear OUT!" Gwen shouted in her most authoritative motherly town.
Gwen watched as teenagers scrambled about of the house, trying to avoid her. She was pretty sure that she saw the Green girl from Penny's soccer team trying to climb out a window and onto a tree branch.
Gwen heard one petulant teen shout"Ah man, some fat old lady is kicking us out."
"Why I never. This generation has no respect for anything. I WANT EVERYONE OUT OF THIS HOUSE!"
As the last of the high school students made their way out. Gwen went in search for her daughter. "Penny you are so grounded when I find you." She thought as she walked up stairs.
Gwen opened up the door to Penny's room and to her complete surprise saw her daughter lying down naked in bed with America Chavez.
"MOM GET OUT OF MY ROOM!!!"

Gwen, Penny, and America sit at the kitchen table, the party long gone, the living room trashed with red solo cups.
Gwen looks at the couple, finding herself thinking about Frankenstein's Monster.
Her mind races at the memory of an English Teacher swearing, as they became a parent, that particular book clearly became about parenthood. Frankenstein's Monster is your child, blaming you for everything and anything. Frankenstein's Monster is a parent's nightmare. The perfect allegory of anxiety and fear.
And this... this was like a chapter from the book!
"I'm gay." Penny says rhetorically. "I'm gay..." Penny puts her hand atop America's. "And America is my girlfriend."
When you really think about it, Penny has a lot of secrets she's keeping from her mom. Being gay is a big one, sure. But, there's definitely a bigger elephant in that room not being addressed!
Still, this was big for Gwen. Really big. She amazingly didn't see this coming!
"... I-I don't know how to process this." Gwen breathes heavily. "One minute, you're my little girl, the next, you're a naked woman on top of another naked woman?!"
"I know this is a lot, Mom." Penny frowns. "But America makes me happy. I... I don't feel that way about boys. I just don't! I know you have all these plans for me, and I want to go to ESU and I want to be a scientist. But I'm gay. I can't change that, mom. I am gay!"
There are some parents who'll disown their kids for something like this. There are some parents who will beat their kids for something like this. There are some parents who will spend years, decades, completely out of their kids lives for something like this.
And there are also parents who will drag their kids out of the closet themselves and lecture them about how unnecessary being in that closet was. And then they'll try to set them up with that cute neighbor down the street!
No story is the same, they are all different in their own way, there may be some similarities here and there, but they're all different.
This story?
"I just... I can't do this right now." Gwen admits.
This story may take some time. And that's okay! Everyone goes through this differently.
Gwen lifts her hefty body upwards, the chair loudly cracking from her weight, her breast bouncing, her grunt filled with emotions, looking at her daughter with utter confusion.
Gwen says nothing, waddles upstairs, her footsteps heavy, each one making Penny feel worse and worse.
"... This could've been worse." Penny mutters softly. America nods, wrapping her arm around her teary eyed girlfriend. "... Maybe she'll accept us? Maybe?"
"You have me." America smiles as Penny breaks into tears.
All things considered, objectively, this could've been worse.
-The next day, Gwen thinks about her daughter being gay. -The next day, Gwen works on unmasking Spider- Girl via vocal recognition -Suggestion
