Emma Frost, 50 years old, a tatted blonde with a short pixie hair cut, left brow pierced, a mature beauty in a white tank top that showed off her rather impressive chest, sits on a couch with an alternate version of her dead wife, a teenage redhead, watching, ironically, her dead wife's favorite movie.
London is for Lovers.
"... I've never seen this before." Jean points out.
"My Jean was obsessed with this movie." Emma, her English accent on full display points out with rolling eyes. "It didn't help that I looked like the lead back in the day."
"... Well, this movie doesn't exist in my universe... and you're not British."
Emma laughs.
"Must be nice. Honestly, I hated this film... but after you--I mean my Jean... after my Jean passed I have to watch his at least once a week."
Jean winces. That was way to sweet for Emma Frost of all people to say!
Two hours later, the film ends, Jean in tears, sniffs with a tissue balled up in her hands.
"My Jean always cried at the end." Emma points out. "Nice to see you shared that quality."
"Yeah." Jean shrugs her shoulders.
"So... wanna talk about why you punched me earlier?"
Jean sighs.
"It's okay. I've met alternate versions of me before. I know what I can be like and I know what are relationship is often like. What did your Emma do exactly???"
- The Standard trope. Emma stole Jean's boyfriend. -An unusual story. Emma and Jean were girlfriends... but Emma cheated! -An unusual story. Emma and Jean were secretly lovers, but Emma, ashamed of being gay, got a boyfriend and started speaking rumors about Jean, the dork, being gay. -Something else

"I've known you... well, my version of you since I was six." Jean explains. "I've always had a crush on her and she always had a crush on me. She was my first kiss when I was 7!" Jean sighs. "And we kissed a lot since then. High School was no different. Even though she was a popular and I was a dork, we made out all the time."
"... And then something changed?" Emma questions.
Jean nods, founding herself in a childish pout.
"It was weird that she wasn't dating, so she started dating the coolest kid in school. Scott Summers. I didn't like it, but Emma was in the closet and she just wouldn't come out."
"Been there. That's a hard closet to leave."
"So Emma has a fake boyfriend, always making out with me and apologizing whenever she had to kiss Scott or hold his hand or DO GIRLFRIEND THINGS SHE SHOULD BE DOING WITH ME, HER GIRLFRIEND! And the more this went on, the more she had to act like she didn't like me. So she started bullying me. Calling me a dork, calling me fat, stealing my books, spreading rumors that I was gay... She was such a-a big meanie!" Jean sniffs.
Emma places a comforting hand on Jean's shoulder.
"It's funny. When I was young, My Jean..."
