"So... are you new on Widow Date?" A Middle Aged Redhead, dressed in a matronly green gown that showed off her curvy figure, asks with a glass of Merlot in hand.
She felt awkward going on a date with a heavily tattooed blonde dressed in a white tux with a piercing on her brow. But Jean Dane had a type. Maybe she was little more wild compared to her Lorna. But Lorna did have that kind of wild streak in her youth!
"Yes." Emma Frost lets out a sigh. "Sorry, my wife passed away a year ago and your my first date-date in decades."
"Same." Jean smiles. It was nice, she was happy her sister-in-law, Wanda, suggested she try Widow Date. It definitely felt less awkward and, amazingly, it had a pretty lively LGBTQ presence!
The date goes pretty well, Jean gets a lasagna, Emma gets a chicken piccata, and the small talk is surprisingly enjoyable.
An irony considering how different they look. Jean, a suburban milf, Emma, an aged hipster.
"So, you're from M-Town?" Jean asks.
Emma nods.
"And you went to Xavier's?"
"Yeah, grew up in Salem. Raised my kids there, too."
"Nice." Emma smiles. "I've got six. Carried five, Adopted one. The quins are 30, the baby is 25."
"Wow." Jean nods. "I've got a 30 year old, too. And a 26 year old and a 16 year old."
"Miracle baby?"
Jean nods.
"We did name her Hope for a reason!"
Emma laughs. It was weird that this pear shaped milf had less kids than her. Bit of a shock, really!

"Mom?!" A 30 year old blonde, dressed in a black and white striped top with acid washed skinny jeans, appears out of nowhere with a scowl on her face.
"Celeste, sweetie! What-What are you doing here?" Emma asks nervously.
Jean simply sits silently, sipping on her wine. She knew exactly what was going on. Jean hasn't told her kids yet that she was dating yet either!
Emma is going through Jean's worst fear at the moment!
"What am I doing?! What the hell are you doing?!"
Emma blinks erratically. The answer was obvious... but saying the obvious felt necessary.
"I'm on a date. This is Jean. We met on Widow Date."
"Widow Date?" Celeste raises a brow.
"Yes, Widow Date. Jean also lost her wife. This is our first date... and it was going pretty well."
Jean smiles. She felt so too... till this awkward situation.
"Mom just died." Celeste shakes her head.
"A year ago." Emma points out.
"Wow! So it only takes you a year to get over you wife? Wow!" Celeste storms off.
"Celeste!" Emma shouts with her tatted arm extended outward as the door loudly slams, bells chiming erratically.
Emma then looks at Jean with a frown.
"My... my daughters are going through a rough time right now."
"I understand." Jean nods, jerking her double chins. "So are mine."

"Celeste, sweetie! Slow down!" Emma races towards her daughter.
At fifty, her knees not what they use to be, her exercise mostly brisk walks through the neighborhood, Emma had difficulties keeping up with her daughter.
"Don't you have a fat slut to boink?!"
"Celeste Elizabeth Frost!" Emma, sweaty and out of breath, gets red in the face. Her tone surprising matronly given her alternative lifestyle appearance. "You are thirty years old! You shouldn't be talking like that!" Emma wags a finger. "And Jean Dane is not a fat slut! She's a grieving widower, just like me!"
Celeste rolls her eyes. Annoyed to see Jean behind her mother, yet, also, amazed that fat ass could keep up!
"Please, you're probably just horny."
"Celeste, I am your mother and I will spank that butt blue with my diamond coated hand if you keep being disrespectful! Jean lost her wife to cancer just like we did with Mari. She doesn't deserve that kinda talk, young lady. She's lonely, she needs someone to talk, and you haven't said a word to me since the funeral! I'm lonely too!"
"Wow, you're gonna throw that in my face?"
"I call you all the time, Celeste! And Phoebe, and Irma, and Esme, and Sophie. The only one who picks up the phone is Yumi, and she's in Japan for Spidey's Sake!"
"Whatever, Mom, you're being ridiculous."
"How? How am I being ridiculous? You..."
Suddenly, Emma feels a hand on her shoulder.
She turns to see Jean, awkwardly waving.
"I think you should give Celeste some space."
Emma sighs.
"Fine." Emma turns to Celeste. "I'm going to finish my date and, honestly, young lady, if Jean and I end up in bed, your Mother would have been absolutely fine with it! She'd probably be jealous! Mariko loved redheads!"
Celeste gags in disgust, Jean blushes. Ironically, Lorna loved blondes!

"It's a dating app for middle aged and elderly widowers, Emma. There's going to be a lot of emotional baggage." Jean points out to comfort the blonde as they sit in an ice cream parlor after a very awkward situation with Emma's daughter.
Jean happily licks on a triple scoop of strawberry cheese cake in a waffle cone. Emma doesn't even pick at her small cup of mocha chip.
"I'm sorry that happened... Thanks for stopping that fight."
"You're an omega level telepath. And so is your daughter. It's a civic duty!" Jean jokes.
Emma laughs.
"Sorry."
"You don't have to apologize, sweetie!" Jean places a hand on Emma's knees. Emma starts to blush. "You're going through a lot. I get that."
"My kids won't even talk to me." Emma sighs. "Just one. Yumi. And she lives in Tokyo."
"My kids aren't really talking to me either." Jean nods. "Well, besides Hope. Lorna dying really hit them hard."
"Mari dying hit my kids hard too." Emma nods. "I'm selling my house."
"Same." Jean sighs. "Hope's going to college early and I see it as a sign. I need a new environment."
"I can't leave M-Town." Emma shakes her head. "But I can't stay at that house anymore.

Her back against the wall, Emma finding herself in a spongy embrace with the matronly redhead.
Lips pressed tight, a pillowy push of breasts and belly, Emma's heart races with joy, enjoying a sensation she hasn't experienced in a year.
A Kiss.
"You okay?" Jean stops, Emma's hands on her bulbous rear.
"Yeah, it's just... after Celeste... I didn't expect this."
Jean starts to laugh, her belly jiggling like jello.
"Yeah, I'm surprised to. I like your tongue piercing, by the way."
"Thanks, Mari liked it... SORRY."
Jean once again laughs. It was nice going on a date with someone just as fucked up as she is.
It's refreshing. ***
A week later, Emma sits in her bar, her business partners, Storm, a muscular Kenyan with a white Mohawk, and Rogue, a 300 pound blob in a stained tank top, going over a new item on their breakfast menu.
"Anna Marie, I get it, I know you want this... but a Breakfast cake is just insane." Emma shakes her head.
Emma looks a circular cornbread cake smothered in white sausage gravy, topped with bacon, sunny side eggs, cheesy hash browns, and drizzled in maple syrup.
"It's just what the bar needs, Sugah."
"It's why you're gonna lose your foot." Storm crossed her muscular biceps.
A ping on her phone, Emma grabs it quickly, smiling in a way that surprises Storm and Rogue.
They look at her for a good minute and it quickly clicks.
"You dating again, blondie?!" Rogue drops her jaw, emphasizing her triple chins.
Emma starts to blush.
"Wow. This is a big step, Emma." Storm smiles. "You okay?"
Emma nods.
"Her name is Jean, we've had dinner every night this week..."
"And?" Storm raises a puzzled brow.
"And just that. We've old been making out." Emma assures.
Rogue chuckles, her belly a wave of fat.
"Emma Frost, the wild gal from M-Town, not eating puss after a week?!"
Emma lowers her head. In her youth, she did have a.... REPUTATION.
"Well, I'm glad you're having fun with someone." Storm assures. "... Have you told your daughters?"
"I told Yumi before the first date. Celeste found out during our first date... and now all Quins know... and they're all pretty upset with me."
"Those girls. You ain't doing nothing wrong! Fer Pete's sake, remember when you banged Warren's Fiancรฉe at in the play pen at Burger King and then ya stole his car?"
"Yes." Emma blushes, embarrassed about her 18th birthday being brought up so often.
"That's you being bad, Sugah. You ain't done nothing like that. Fuck, ya don't even do coke anymore!"
Emma nods.
"That's right, Ma'am. I don't do coke!" Emma shouts loudly Storm and Rogue turn their heads to see their lawyer, a pear shaped She-Hulk in a purple pantsuit.
The Middle Aged Lawyer lightly smiles.
"Good!"

"I know Lorna would be happy that you're moving on, dear," Wanda Maximoff said politely as she poured her sister-in-law some tea. She was a curvy woman, with a substantial chest and a bulbous belly that she hid well with layers of scarlet fabric. Over the years, she'd had five children with her husband, Viz, and the stress of raising such a brood was evident on her body. Still, she was a sophisticated woman who always had Jean's best interests at heart. Jean got along better with her in-laws than her real family.
"It's time," Jean agreed. "I don't want to be alone forever. But the kids..."
"They'll understand," Wanda assured.
"Will they? Rachel was so close to Lorna..."
"And I'm sure she'll like this Emma woman. She sounds quite nice."
Jean's cheeks turned pink and she smiled like a schoolgirl. "She is. I think I'm falling for her. She's just so down-to-earth and honest and --"
"I bet she has that washed up punk star look you love," Wanda teased. "You never wanted Lorna to get rid of that silly eyebrow piercing."
Jean's blush intensified. "Maybe..."
Wanda laughed and her boobs quaked in her inadequate bra. "Are you official yet?"
Jean shook her head. "No...but we have been spending a lot of time together. So maybe soon."
"You might want to think about including the kids then," Wanda warned. She took a sip of tea, pinky out, and then set it back into its saucer. "I know it won't be easy but if you really like her, you need to."
Jean sighed but nodded. Maybe Wanda was right...

Emma sits awkwardly in a booth with three young redheads in front of her.
Rachel, the eldest at 30, pregnant body wrapped in a green maternity dress, hair in an updo .
Natalie, the 28 year old, dressed in a green tack suit, hair in a pixie cut, her scowl reminding Emma of her daughter's that night in her first date with Jean.
And Hope, the 16 year old, wearing a pink dress, hair in curls, a Salem Tech Freshman currently pledging a sorority.
"So, do you always wear suits on dates?" Hope asks coldly.
Emma nods.
"I haven't worn a dress in decades."
"So you're that kind of woman." Rachel tits, ironically, a bit conservative given her upbringing.
"Yeah... you could say that."
Natalie says nothing, simple glaring at the blonde when her mother waddles over and plops her gargantuan rear into the booth, her belly rolls eating at the table.
"We have to sit in the booth." Jean sighs.
"Sorry, Jean." Emma frowns.
"It's fine." Jean continues to groan. At her weight, it was embarrassing and uncomfortable sitting in a booth. But if she has no choice!
"Have long have you two been dating?" Rachel inquires.
Emma says nothing, feeling like Jean should be the one answering those kind of questions. If it's not specifically directed at her, Emma decided to keep her pierced lip shut.
"About a month."
"A month? And you're already introducing her to your kids?" Rachel huffs.
"Seems kinda fast." Hope adds. Natalie continues to be silent.
"Sweeties, I moved in with your mother after two weeks of dating. This is pretty slow for me. Emma?"
"... Lorna and I were looking at apartments after the second date."
Jean laughs.
"Well, I have you beat there, Emmy, I was getting keys made for Lorna after the first date!"
Emma laughs. That totally sounds like Jean!
"... I still think this is all very fast." Rachel insists. "It's only been a year. You're still grieving."
"Of course I'm still grieving." Jean shakes her head. "But, sweetie, what exactly are you trying to say?"
"We think you're getting over mom pretty quick." Natalie finally chimes in. "Like Rachel said, it's been a year. What the fuck?!"
"Natalie, I don't like hearing that language from you!" Jean wags a finger rather motherly.
"How would Mom feel, you having sex with some blonde hag, huh?"
"First off, do not call my girlfriend a hag, that is disrespectful, young lady! And, secondly, your mother would've been happy."
"Yeah right!" Hope shakes her head. "She'd be happy you're cheating on her? !" Hope gets teary eyed.
"Calm down, girls, we're at a restaurant." Jean points out. "And, yes, Lorna wants me to live my life. She told me that. I can just be alone till the day I die, girls, I'm only 49! I have so much to live for!"
