Kamala Khan has been having a pretty difficult week.
A Zit on picture day, right on the tip of her nose. An AP History Exam and a Spanish Midterm on the same day. A breakdancing mutant with pyrokinesis. Kamala was stressed, everything going on that week was just insanely annoying!
... And then existence itself altered, making everything she complained about seem so ridiculously tamed by comparison.
"Did you finish your AP Calculus Homework?" A Middle Aged Blonde, hair in a bob, ears hooped, wrinkled neck sporting a gaudy golden necklace, her pear shaped figure wrapped snugly in a red sweater with wide hips in an iconically blue pair of mom jeans, asks as she squirts ketchup into a bowl with brown sugar, mustard, and a dash of Worcestershire sauce.
Kamala sits in the kitchen, watching her newly acquired adopted mother, Carol Danvers, prepare a meatloaf for dinner, cringing at the reality of her mentor transformed into an overbearing mama bear.
"Well?" Carol raises her voice as her age spotted hands toss a slab of ground beef into the bowl. Kamala's eyes widened in shock as Carol's bingo wings lightly jiggle. "Did you finish your AP Calculus Homework?"
"Yes... Mom." Kamala speaks nervously.
"Good." Carol smiles. "And have you started that application for the summer internship at Stark Labs?"
"Well..."
"Kamala Khan Danvers!" Carol groans. "I know, I know, being a Young Avenger and a student is difficult. But you can handle a summer internship! Besides, Riri knows you're Ms Marvel, she won't go to hard on you!" Carol smirks. "Unless I tell her to!"
Kamala can't decide whether or not to be happy Carol is still Captain Marvel, even if she's more or less retired at this point, teaching at Avengers Academy, occasionally cramming her matured figure into her old tights.
- Carol continues to lecture Kamala on her summer as she makes dinner
- Kamala has a chat with her best friend, Doreen, hoping she might be aware of reality being altered
-Suggestion
