Emma hung up her phone and sat back in her chair. It was true -- being afraid of settling down stopped her from having real relationships with two beautiful, amazing women. She met Lorna when she was young and foolish. Her band was her top priority -- not some girl. She did love her but the timing was all wrong. That's what she told herself, anyway.
But Mari should've been perfect timing. She was in her thirties, had made her first million, and wanted something real. Sort of. Mari wanted a house in the suburbs and a family. Emma wanted more money. Three years in, Mari left Emma for their mutual friend, Logan. They had a kid together and got a house in the suburbs. Emma got another million dollars.
Emma flipped through her contacts to Jean. She had put a peach emoji beside her name because that's how she remembered who it was at first. She was a good lay at first. But Emma had to admit that the fat redhead was a lot more than that now.
Shaking with fear, she hit the call button.
It rang a few times. Emma suspected she wouldn't pick up but then she heard that voice.
"Emma? I'm busy -- its my day off, I'm at the zoo with my daughter and --"
"Jean, I love you."

"You love me?!" Jean shouts on a park bench, her daughter, Madeline, on a flying bat ride her massive rear end is simply too big for. "You say that after you broke my heart?!"
"I was stupid, Jean. We had something amazing and I'm so sorry I left like that. I don't care if I'm your boss. I love you and I want to be with you. Can you forgive an idiot for being an idiot?"
"... Maybe." Jean huffs. "But I'm not cheap, Emmy. You can't just buy yourself out of the doghouse. You have to earn it!"
"... Jean, are discreetly saying I have to eat your pussy because you're at a zoo filled with children?"
"How the heck are you a billionaire when you're that stupid, Emmy's of course!"
